A basic question. I’ve never seen 24 but am recording it tonight. Is the premise of the show that it takes place in 24 hours or that the whole season takes place in 24 hours?

No he won't.
I love the show, but the main message of the show is that it is the American government and conservatives that are the real enemy.
In all the previous seasons, the actual terrorists just end up being tools of some combination of a) rogue American government elements, b) right wing politicians, and c) businessman.
I doubt that's going to change this season. But it's still very entertaining leftist agitprop.

First year of 24 was great, last year was so-so.
This year is starting out pretty good. Loved the Michael Moore line also.
