Jack's Back
Not much to complain about this show, since not much happened.
Amazing how quickly the terrorists were able to get a warhead attached to a missle that it was not designed for. Takes real companies weeks to get that stuff together. We need to hire marwan and company. Of course, given their expertise, I don't know why they haven't destroyed our country already, they certainly had the ability.
Stupid terrorists, always thinking too big.
No way they let a foreign national free for one second in a real CTU -- so there was no way he ever would have been able to question Edgar. Also no person with a real security clearance (like Edgar) would be so untrained as to answer questions. I liked the "I'm not asking for anything classified" -- that is like a red flag in the real world.
Marwan messed up. "You can't stop the missle". Why did he tell them it was a missle?
My favorite terrorist ending (in an otherwise pretty bad movie): Seagal in Dark Territory; Granger says "There's no way to stop the attack", Seagal just shoots the portable, Granger says "I hadn't thought of that".
Too bad they couldn't just shoot the PC here.
A mobile rocket launcher. I hope in the real world we'd notice if we were missing one of those.
CTU is ideally located in the heart of downtown LA, as well as apparently in several alternate locations connected via subspace distortions. That way they can be within 5 minutes of the girl's boyfriend's pad, the Chinese Consulate,AND Marwan's secret hiding place.
At least it didn't take the Consulate more than a few minutes to get to CTU.
So, is China really sitting around just waiting for an excuse to go to war with us? If they wanted to go to war with us, would they need an excuse? And if they did need an excuse, isn't bombing their embassy worse than simply invading a consulate? (OK, now I'm mixing real life and TV, time to go to bed).....
Thank you, too, CharlesWayneCT!
Apparently you missed the product placement when they showed the terrorists attaching the warhead.
Hey, if it is good enough for Carl Speckler...it is good enough for you.
"Cinderella story outta nowhere. Former greenskeeper and now about to become the Masters champion."
BTW, anyone else wonder why CTU doesn't have a 2nd and 3rd shift of workers?
(remember, this was not long after 9-11)
Of course, there would be false leads, and various subplots, and the finale, of stopping 3 huge simultaneous nerve-gas attacks in the US, would be set as a nail-biter, with something going wrong, making stopping the final attack seem impossible.
But, after sharing my idea with a couple of others, I got talked out of pursuing in any further.
Maybe he HALO Jumped in?
Maybe it's Audrey. Everyone thinks she's guilty.
Maybe...My husband said they mentioned she has a personality disorder last night on the show. So you could be right about her. This is my first season to watch so I don't know about all these plot twists.
It wasn't what Chloe said, but that lingering look to the camera after she said it. It just screamed, "I want him soooooo bad. Funny how I didn't even think about him until after I had that hot automatic weapon in my hands. I hope I'm not a psychopath or something. Hmmm. Mrs. Jack Bauer. Chloe Bauer. Mrs. Chloe Bauer. I want a big wedding. No. A small one, since I don't have any friends. And that b*tch Audrey is definitely NOT invited. Or Edgar. Maybe we'll just elope...."
She's useless for the rest of the season, basically.
I'm starting to dislike Audrey too. The whining! And, to think, I liked her so much at first during the kidnapping episode.
What is Chloe's "personality disorder?" This is my first season.
She has a case against him for mentioning it to her.
But they seem to be able to get away with a lot of Non-PC stuff in CTU (which is good)
Who could blame Chloe. Jack is majorly hot!
spoilers by freep mail only, please.
I like to be surprised.
I don't think so, they always intersperse a great episode with a transitional one. (re jump the shark remark)
However, the domestic partner agrees with you. He refused to watch with me any more after Jack pulled the gun on the doctor.
He said the doc should have told him to bug off. What was he gonna do, shoot him? And then have 4 dead people? (I'm including Jack)
Yes!!! I'm always shouting at the screen--"do that stuff later ... and get a room while you're at it, we're saving the world here."
Come to think of it, both my children found their mates at work and I know a lot of hanky panky went on.
But they were in a hospital and an insurance company...the world was not in danger. .... patients, maybe.
