I sat there and sulked until the good cop, the feminine one, told me she liked how my candle smelled.

I'd like to slap "creatures" like those women silly!! They only care about themselves unfortunately and NOT their children.

I'm hoping to get her off this Prednisone too. I mean she's 9 years old and she just developed this "allergy/asthma" thing in the last few months.!! It's very puzzling.

After that earthquake and the way those freeways collapsed I doubt I would EVER drive that way again. Maybe it should be renamed: The Pacific Pancake freeway!!

No it wasn't anything like that. What it could have been was our "new" cat. The little baby tyke that showed up at my door and didn't seem to have any place to go. He's now big and bossy and he especially chases Daisy. That's why I thought in the beginning when she was pulling her fur out of her back and scratching it raw that it really was self-mutilation created by stress. But then the asthma started after her other wounds healed? It's just a complete puzzle. I have to keep trying new things.

Yes, I have have great plans for today - I am freeloading.
A Parador
The Hotel of the Catholic Kings
This is where the where I was invited for my birthday lunch in Santiago today.
A Spanish lunch is actually dinner, as the main meal of the day in this part of Spain is from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. The last meal of the day does not start until 10pm.
The photograph was taken at dusk, without a flash, so that gives a red glow to the building.
The Hostal de los Reyes Catolicos (The Hotel of the Catholic Kings,) is a Parador, which are Spain's Government owned chain of hotels, usually found in historical buildings, like palaces and castles. They are absolutely first class in every respect. No one but a government could afford the upkeep.
My daughter, with her American friend, stayed in a Parador in Biona, which is at the center of a large castle overlooking a magnificent bay, whose perimeter is about a mile in length. They were very impressed with the magnificence of the place, especially with the size of the bathrooms. They claimed they could live in them.
This was the castle where the Pinta made land fall bringing the news of the discovery of the new lands.

I like the Salvation Army also and of course the PAOC (Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada). Every penny goes toward the mission field.

Well it was a GOOD idea. Those call alert buttons are fabulous. The outfit that man's the phones, calls the alert signal phone and if there is no answer, they dispatch an ambulance right away.
