The power of the Mississippi in flood stage must indeed be something to see.

Got tailgated in snowdrift conditions recently by some punk while I was borrowing a car.
Punk got angry because I wouldn't run a stop sign for him, so he rode my tail, passed illegally, and then proceeded to fishtail and slide around the next curve due to there being 300 foot length of road covered in three inches of drifted sludge.
Instead of slowing down, the braniac decides to speed up even further.
As of this point, I still haven't seen him in the paper yet.
The other fools on the road make me very nervous.

We had an earthquake where we moved here in IL just after we arrived here. It wasn't much Richter scale-wise, but we could feel the shaking through the furniture and we snatched up daughter (who was just a year old then) and went tearing outside.
Probably the wrong thing to do, but by then it was over.

"I am sleeping with my windows opent tonight" I slept with mine open last night. Felt good, too. Plus, it was nice to wake up and be able to hear the birds singing. It's supposed to turn cold tonight though.
