Our ball was very cool, got to meet some famous folks and their families....notably Spencer Abraham and James Dobson. Got to meet and listen to a "neutral"ha ha journalist on the way to the ball.......these people are so blinded to reality, talking with him really drove it home. He was the "Washington bureau chief" for an Indianapolis paper.
Was mainly impressed with the people we met in the crowds at the actual ceremony outside. They were from everywhere, all regular folks just enjoying the change of the guard, almost all absolutely agreed on the shamefulness of the prior admin. and the hope for the future as a result. These folks aren't going to forget if Hillary runs.....

I purchased a long black skirt and have a dressy red sweater that looks nice with it. I'll wear some fancy jewelry too. It's not a spectacular look, but it's a nice look.
And that's enough for me. ;^)
Lots of composition in both those shots and much movement in the waves. The sea looks very high and rough, I wonder if it's often that rough that close to shore. And what a spectacular sunset. Thanks for the links!
That Beltway mentality, Potomac fever or whatever you want to call it, pervades many people who live there I think. I have no desire to live in that area, where the local news is the national news. Others are happy with that location so different strokes of course.

Oh my goodness, Lynn! You really should consider a move south! That is just awful. I SO do not miss Colorado, and that looks worse than most Colorado storms.
