Oh yes.. the barn will have to be emptied first. I wouldn't dare to let anyone see it in the condition it's in now. Filled from stem to stern..lol.
Hi Doggie. The canal is the water, and those are houses.
I know..and that's one reason why we moved. We needed stuff done here, and to think of all that confusion and only being here six months was just too much. So... we did the next best thing. ;)
I went thru it at home this summer and it still isn't finished. I have to face it when I go back.
Pup and myself get the hot tub, dancing girls on the deck next to it.........uuuhhh.....where are the cup holders we ordered?
The year-old hippo calf christened Owen was rescued last month, suffering from dehydration after being separated from his herd in a river that drains into the Indian Ocean.
"When we released Owen into the enclosure, he lumbered to the tortoise which has a dark gray color similar to grown up hippos," Sabine Baer, rehabilitation and ecosystems manager at the park, told Reuters.
She said the hippo's chances of survival in another herd were very slim, predicting that a dominant male would have killed him.
However, Owen's relationship with the Aldabran tortoise named Mzee, Swahili for old man, may end soon. The sanctuary plans to place Owen with Cleo, a lonely female hippo.
LOL... I don't even have the cups yet. I hope you don't expect China. Will have to make do with paper, donchano.
The dancing girls are on a gig in Las Vegas right now, but I'm sure they'll be thrown out soon. What the heck, you can't expect the best..;)
You really are a busy bee glad to see the develments!:)
Well Resty, at least tomorrow when the furniture gets there we can start to unpack. Right now there isn't anywhere to put anything.
I wish my legs were stronger tho, they are really starting to get tired from so much back and forth. I need a comfy chair too..lol.
Is this the grannie from the old Basecamp threads?
What a beautiful sunset after a day of destruction.
Thank you for the pics, Resty.
Pers...here's a ping for you in case you can't find us. So great to hear from you in FM.
Can we welcome you back????
LOL..there you are. I just found your Fmail.. and wrote back. I've been so busy and tied up that I haven't been on much.
Oh yes.. still tied up.. lol..and lovin it!!
Welcome back you old devil. smoooooooooooooooooch!
That looks like a really beautiful property.
Is the vinyl pier part of your back yard?
Good to be back. I forgot how much fun FR was, and was talking to my son who reminded me of the good old days. I am back, and will tell some of my right thinking students about FR as being good for their psyches- I teach in a very liberal district but do not hide my politics.
No..that's Bills dock next door. We are going to have a vinyl one put in too tho. Al's sick of taking care of the wood ones. They will start our dock in a couple weeks. I will take pics of the pile drivers out there. Such a nice noisy job that is, but fun to watch.
Good for you. We need more teachers of your per-suasion. We have quite a few young people on DD now and then. Tell them to check us out, lol.
Hey all you oldies.. the Pers is back!! All you others, meet Persecutor, one of the best.
You're too kind. Grannie, you're one of the best. I remember the morning camp reports I used to do. They were fun to write, and you provided much inspiration.
Meet me behind the arts and crafts shed?
Don't believe any of those stories Gran tells ya.
So9
Nah- grannie never kisses and tells (or so I hope)!!!
Hope all is well by everyone. I made a career change and am now teaching Economics and Government at the secondary level, and practicing law on the side.
Boy are these kids liberal. Glad I have a few that aren't afraid to state their minds- and they were surprised that I proudly supported GW and did so openly.
