What a story......
Hard to believe he got so lucky. One good thing I'm sure, most surfers know about tidal waves and, so at least he knew to grab everyone and run after the first surge. Probably saved his family as well as himself. Most people seem to get mesmerized when the ocean recedes just before the big one comes in.
