~*.:."Really Good" Meat Loaf.:.*~
Meat Loaf:
1/2 yellow onion (optional), chopped
12 oz sausage
1 1/2 lb hamburger (ground beef)
1 medium to large potato, grated
2 1/2 slices bread, break into pieces (as small as possible)
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
1 tbl Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 packet meatloaf seasoning
8 slices of cheese (optional)
Sauce:
1/2 cup ketchup (another brand besides Heinz)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbl mustard
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place all ingredients except cheese (optional) into a large mixing bowl. Mix contents of bowl by hand. Place one half mixture in a 8"x8"x2" dish and spread evenly over bottom. Add a layer of cheese by spreading the slices over the mixture. Spread the remaining meat loaf mixture over the cheese. Mix the sauce ingredients and spread over the meatloaf. Cover the meat loaf with tin foil. Cook at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Check by cutting the meat loaf and verify the meat is not pink. Remove from oven and drain the grease before serving.
(This is probably the BEST meat loaf I have ever tried! and it's not that hard to make either! it makes the perfect meal...optional with salad, or any sort of vegetable)

gran is evil. Just like you.......I never said that I wasn't! ;) I must admit I do seem to have very evil fingers, and my mouse is possessed I believe. It keeps doing these strange moves and bounces around a lot. Sort of like a divining rod, ifyanowhatimean? My mind on the other hand is quite pure...;) Ummmm...that's my "other" mind...

Not a drop of Dark Rum Fruitcake, Resty. I gave that up years ago. I think it's the only thing that I ever gave up. :(

Anyone who eats Sardines on a regular basis has to looove seafood. But..........how do you like my tiefery? heh heh heh.....
Sighhhhhhhhhhhh..sometimes I have so much fun..it just hurts me.. What's a woman to do, I've tried Porcelana, but nothing seems to take that feeling from my fingers. My mother always said that I should be a safe cracker.. I could undo all the codes with my finger-tips...
Ahem... :)
Now that no ones around, I'll post this.
Neena neena!

Yessssssssssss...at my age everything twists. It does help to be a tad twisted to begin with tho, you don't notice the damage so much.

It is so humid here, you could cut a slice out of the air...2 Jan and the AC is pumping it's guts out - quit playing those HAARP's, you nitwits.
Looking like a Pizza Hut Supreme evening here.

That's why I gave you the zip code thingie to check the forecast here - we're still cutting the grass twice a month.
To: lodwick
That's great - it means the bloated one will be wearing his little boy shorts (he's almost 50) and the rolls will be oozing out. I wish you could come by the hotel just so I could point him out, but I'm sure he'll be feeding most of the time. I'm going to hel@, I know.Wish we had dress code standards like I did in the NPS.

On the bright side, his risk quotient for stroke or heart attack goes up with each wad he stuffs into his pie hole...you may do everyone a favor by taking him nice pies and cakes and candies to work.
