Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Boones Farm Strawberry Hill.
Goes with anything, even a paper cup.

New Zealand Sauv Blanc. Definitely I really, really like Cloudy Bay and Kim Crawford, but those are more expensive. Giesen is nice. Or Marlborough.

Thanks. I'll check those out.
Maybe I should just by 2-3 bottles of different ones...
At present count, we're at 21 people, counting the kids.
Hmmm...kids...maybe the adults will need a bit more...

O my goodness! That poor little boy! Erin's caused a few scares like that too.
I hope he heals up real quick!

Heh! It was a weird sensation...coming around the corner and seeing that tuna sandwich sitting there right in the middle of the kitchen.
It was surreal, because for all I know it coulda walked there it's self, you know? I have NO recollection of setting it there.
To: no one in particular
It's official. My brain is on vacation.
The only reason I'm sitting here is waiting for the boss to sign off on something. It's the project that ~he~ said "must go out on TUESDAY"...
I'm still waiting.

He's fine. Ear puffed up but the ice pack stopped that. It's red and has a mark on it but it's not even cut. I think he actually landed on that ear onto the keyboard drawer, because he went over head first apparently.
I'd rather he land on that keyboard drawer than the other way around...it is massive and very heavy.
To: Corin Stormhands
Boones is only $2 per bottle... you could get each of the adults their own bottle. ;~D

Here it is...you can't tell in this picture but there is a heavy "drawer" that has a red bag of conversation hearts on it, that is part of the keyboard drawer. I had it full of ink pens...

LOL!
I'm with you, Corin. I can't wait to leave the office today.
And the clock is crawling....
We had our office potluck and Secret Santa. My sister was my Santa and she bought Clay Aiken's new Christmas CD for me. *grinning happily* It's playing now.

That's too bad it's wrecked... with some hardware, it might be fixable.... but I've always hated those kind of pullout keyboard trays, they just aren't strong.
To: HairOfTheDog
That's why I prefer laptops. Keyboard is attached.
