New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I got myself a pair of red knit gloves...they were only like a buck fifty at Walmart for two pair! I got the red and the black came along with them.
Steve laughed when he saw them...said "You like that color red, don't you!"
I'll settle for red gloves this year...red Chucks are really out of the question at $40 a pair. I paid 32.99 for my navy ones, which some fellow in the mall saw the other day and asked "What color are those??" and when I said "They used to be navy", he said "Well they look great! Cool color!" Steve thought that was funny too, but I just thought the guy was planning on mugging me any minute.
Thank you!
I love it...copying it now for Steve...
Heh, Heh!
Not ~town~ Tonto~
You always beat someone up when you go to town...
Would it be too out of the way to just come down I-91, then across on I-89? At least you'd be on major roads the whole time, unless that's what you DON'T want! ;o) In March, it would be after the major snow season, though being New England, you just never know!
He wasn't paying close enough attention to the laundry discussion. ;o)
I detest I-89...much druther avoid it if possible.
I think the state route way'd be faster, though it's still close to a three hour drive. I'd probably have to take a half day at work if we wanted to get there with much time to spare.
Musta been that cholesterol medicine! ;o)
Last night whilst we was at the reception, we called home. Jr. and Nana was watchin' ROTKEE in the livin' room. I have no idea what Nana thought...apparently Jr. watched the second disc in his room.
In other Nana news, wife took her to the doctor yesterday for a follow up on problems she's had with her feet (circulation problems). Dr. basically said, if you don't move 'em, they won't want to move...
On the way out of the Drs' office Nana actually said "You know I've never been one to just sit around..."
Wife didn't miss a beat..."You haven't moved in THREE MONTHS!"
Heh, it's never dull at Castle Stormhands...
Oh yeah, fergot this too...
I don't know how much I told you about my step-dad post surgery. They ended up not replacing the hip but were able to put in screws to take care of it [shudder - all I want to know].
Anyway, he came home yesterday! He's on limited activity for about a month (which he hates). But he's doing really well.
That happens...
I don't mind I-89; it's kinda sparse in the development area, but that's ok by me. I just put on some nice music and turn up the volume! ;o) We all got into Shadowfax (the new van) the other day, SSQ cranked it up, and got blasted with the radio! He looked at me like I was outa my mind for having the volume up so high. Clare just laughed and said, Mom likes her music LOUD!
Glad he's doing well, and hope the same for Nana.
I'm always amazed to see surgeries nowadays where they lay out all these bolts and screws that look like they came from the hardware store. You should see x-rays of Sonya sometime.
You forgot one thing!
And may Steve always remember to take the tissue out of his pockets before laundry day! :-D
It's the traffic that bothers me. I can't do passing and changing lanes at speed. Depth perception issues, especially at night. It terrifies me.
At least on state routes, you can verrrry slowwwwly change lanes.
I'm so glad to hear your dad is doing so well, Corin!
And kudos to the Mrs for such a snappy comeback! :-D
Thank you, and Amen.
Steve
Yep, he's a real talker, my Steve...
lol!
You know right after we got married...he washed all my white racing tee-shirts (including my marathon one) with a brand new cheap cotton red dress that I'd bought on the Mexican border?
All of them. A whole washer load of white tee-shirts and one brand new cheap red mexican dress.
