The Hobbit Hole XVIII - Though we pass them by today...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 12/20/2004 9:01:36 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Though we pass them by today...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Well, I work downtown. Event I'm going to is about 6 blocks away at the convention center.

It's an election year. I need to be "seen."

Can we do a weekend? Dunno if I want to do a 4 hour movie and then get up and go to werk in the morning. Or we could split it up and do a disc a night.

Friday or Saturday for me...preferably Saturday, I guess.

And splitting it up might be a good idea, too!

whew, had me concerned for a second there. "one at a time" is much better. Don't recall ever having that brand, the SC always had a 'medicinal' taste to me.

There's a good number of spring and summer dates in the Hobbit, commencing with
April 25th, Gandalf visiting Bilbo, June 4th Thorin and Co. reach Rivendell,
July 19th Bilbo finds the ring
....

Hello everyone!

I survived the day from hell and I'm feeling darn proud of myself.

THIRTY-SIX payrolls. I am a beast, baby!

*apologies for weird behavior
