Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Thanks for your prayers for Jen K, last night. I just got an e-mail from my friend that Jen died this morning. Please remember her family in your prayers. They will need them in the coming weeks.
When Jen got her driver's license a couple of years ago, she chose to be an organ donor. We're hoping her family will have some peace knowing that her decision will bless the lives of several people, inluding a couple of folks waiting for transplants of vital organs.

Good morning happy campers. Back at work. Have lots to do, so I'll be afk most of the day. But Christmas is successfully organized and packed away for another year.
Suzi - prayers for the family of Jen K.

I don't trust myself to start taking off pipes. Would Wal-Mart sell a plumber's snake?Posting before finishing the thread, but....
I was able to remove the trap on my sink and put it back together, and I'm thinkin' there's NO one here who's worse at such things. It's not a hard thing. But the snake might do it.
Continuing to catch up...

Googled "kitchen sink clog" and found the plunger suggestion. It grossed out the Mrs. (yeah, it's been "there"). But it worked.Cool! Glad you got that straightened out...

Good morning!
Was that just a year ago? Entmoot was a year ago exactly, wasn't it? 9-16, is that what we figured?
*sigh* It's been too long!
Music night tonight. People are gonna notice the dogs are gone. I may be breaking the news to the band folks as a result, though really I'd rather not. In a place like this...you tell two or three people and EVERYONE knows. I don't want that - not for a coupla months.

Good about the sink!
It made me think of my sister in law who scoffed when she found out that my best friend had handed me down some cotton undies for Matthew. She said she would never let her girls wear someone else's underwear. I almost asked her if she ever thought about the number of people who DIED on the sheets she had her babies on in the hospital...
A little clorox is a good thing. A lot makes things like brand new. ;-)

It kinda got to the point where I said "you can let me try this plunger, or go to Walmart and buy a new one."
We've bought cotton skivvies for Luke at the consignment sale. Kids just grow out of 'em before they're worn out.

Good Morning! Anyone remember this?I remember! And I remember that we couldn't keep the coffee pot full in the morning, so many people waiting with empty cups!
And I remember those cool pancake mix bottles where you just added water and shook them.
