New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
When I stop chuckling I'll look ;~D
I am pretty sure the Windows, Unix, and Mac people will all be segregated in heaven too.... ;~D
Ya gotta wonder about people that would come up with an operating system by that name...especially with commands like "finger".
*sigh* Wonder if the dogs are gonna cry a lot tonight. *fret*
I bet they don't, and if they do they'll be on laps.
Call the folks and see that they got home safe. They'll be warmed that you care how they are doing. We talked to the lady we bought the horse from a few times the first week, and she called the first night to see how day 1 had gone.
I don't have long distance capability from here...I can't call. Should have that switched on soon, but don't have it tonight. And the lady works evenings...until eleven, I think.
I can call tomorrow morning. I think I will. But it means tonight...I'll worry.
I'm sure they're fine. I'm just...they've never stayed with strangers! Especially Fiona. Entmoot was about the only time I've ever been away from her since I got her.
I'll photoshop it in a while...
Back to sorting laundry...I've dragged alllll clothes out of storage and I'm going to pare them down to as few things as possible...
heh... last pair of Landmarks I had were made in the US... just found a tiny tag on these that says "Made in China"... bastiges... burris scopes are made stateside... I guess they've "outsourced" their binos... bastiges...
Minox huh?... I'll check 'em out...
Evenin' all!! [sip]
Roger on the binos. Looks like a good unit. Roger on the Leupold scope, too... that's what's on my M77 .270.
In Binos I'm partial to Fujinon (have a big pair mounted on a tripod), but they're kinda pricey, though not as big-league pricey as Zeiss or Swarovski. But my latest find is actually a pair by Minolta of all people. Really, really clean and sharp optics but the coolest part is the oversize glass in the eyepiece. Really a lot more comfortable to look through.
Howdy all!
The optics guy at Captains Nautical told me once that there's actually only about two companies left in Japan and maybe one in China that make optics, and they make just about everybody's binoculars. Dozens of brands but only a small number of actual plants.
I don't know who makes them in the U.S. anymore.
Oh, dear. Do you have that much burnable stuff?
And why am I getting Dilandu images?
Suzi... the Swarovski glass outfit is the same company. yah... they make binoculars and telescopes too. Really, really spendy ones. I can say authoritatively that I'll never own them. :-)
Good heavens... Hair... did you tell her that we used to own a yellow bug like that? that was a long time ago...
I did.... ours was lighter though wasn't it? Was going to try to find a pic and scan it.
It was that bright daisy yellow... but it faded lighter over time. I'm not getting recall on what year it was. Maybe a 68 or a 70?
Enjoy :)
Weird Maryland Couple Begs Money Online to Build Hobbit Hole (my title).
That's cute! And a pretty good idea!
Odd. Definitely odd. Not the hobbit hole part, but the taking-up-a-collection part.
Yup. Moochers.
