Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'm going to want to give upIt's a lot easier to stick with it when your company moves out from under you. :)

I can live with cats. I mostly regard them neutrally. I'm used to them - our three cats are Fat Cat, Pukey-Drippy-Cat, and Masochist Cat.

OH! And the boarding place has already received $377 toward the bill, which Paulat said was $700!
To: Overtaxed
Heh...yeah, that'd add motivation...

I might just do that.
You know, I've never ever posted a thread, period? It's a scary thought...
I should get pictures before I do anything, though.

Yeah, but I don't think colleges move all that often...

You can take pets on the plane on some airlines. Miss Cat was a carryon at Delta.
To: RosieCotton
She's, um, really old. She pukes on beds, mostly. And her nose drips all the time. And she's started refusing to jump up onto things.

There are actually two schools in Fort Collins... there's a community college, too. Maybe they'd have postings somewhere, too - let me look around!

Yeah, but she can't carry them in a regular pet carrier. Hair and ecurbh wouldn't let her in the gate...
To: Corin Stormhands
They're vey small...
I can probably fit 'em in the sleeves of the bridesmaid gown...
Stealth dachshunds, bwahahahahah!

Put them in a suitcase, and then be all "Oh, how did they get in there!"

In that case...Tam shouldn't be a big deal at all.
He's the skinnier cat on my profile page, BTW.

I thought it was Duke that moved...
To: RosieCotton
Oh. They look like foxes, not mutt-cats like ours. Long hair, too...
Hmm, if he moves in I'll have to get a vacuum.

You can bring them as checked baggage if you're not moving them in the summer.
