New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Canada's gonna invade. Oh well. Maybe they'll bring boots. At least they have good beer.
I always worry when weather guys think weather is "quite interesting".
I also worry when they use words like "strongly anomolous deep polar-like vortex"... Yikes! What? Are we about to go back in time or something?
Thanks, so are we. Don't relate near as well to cold as I used to. But the fire would have kept things civilized. And we would have been thankful for the fire. We have several days more wood on the racks, dry and tarped.
If your power is on and the heat's on, you won't break pipes in the walls. pipes will break if the power is out and it's cold inside and out. You can protect your faucets outside by wrapping them or getting those foam insulator thingys.
There's some things I'd like to do again, and a few things I'd skip ;~D
*Fret, fret, fret*
Evening Ramius - the onliest thing holding you back is the force of gravity, go for it. Sorels are great boots.
Don't fret.... have a nice hot spiced cider and just snuggle with the kitty.
Our Rottweiler, Kybo was the biggest, smartest, most disciplined, loyal beast imagineable... never allowed on furniture, didn't beg fer table scraps...
one night I got up about 3 a.m. fer some reason... walked out into the livin' room tuh find him sprawled on the couch... four legs in the air, jowls rolled back... snorin' away... I quietly said "Kybo..." he opened one eye, and had the "oh crap!!!" look on his face... we had us a little "discussion"... as far as I "know"... that was the last time he got on the couch... he was certainly more careful from then on...
Mmmmm.....cider....
Kitty is clawing me and meowing....wonder what she wants.
The pipes should be okay, you gots power and the 'shoes of power'. Things should be okay.
Yahknow, speaking of Canada invasions... if we gotta choose between the socialists from Canada and having to endure Gregoire... hmmm... that's a tough call.
Maybe the Canadians will invade, capture Gregoire hiding in her little spider hole, and then set us up with a good clean election.
This might just work.
hehehe....my Dad used to have to compete with my sister's cat for The Spot on the couch.
True.
I guess I'm getting to be as bad as Nana. :)
What's wrong with letting the dog nap on the couch? We ain't using it right now.
I don't think so, you know this temp isn't unusual at all.
Canadians, eh?
just the way I was raised... and we had big dogs... kinduh tough wrestlin' a full grow male Rott fer the couch...
competin' with a cat?... not fer long...
He was a softie for animals...except for the squirrels raiding the pecan trees.
The couch theme seems to have worked on some level. LSA is on the couch, Annie the cat in her lap and Gypsygirl is on the couch LSA. Thanks for channeling the 'couch is good' thoughts everyone.
