Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

A fresh dusting-- about 1.5" of poofy powder-- o'erblankets the balcony. Guess I'll see the driveway in about five minutes.

Morning OT - congrats on having the day off. I'm taking it off, not worth the effort and attendant risk.
I may try to use the program that allows us to get into our work stations from home and see what's happening there.
Gypsygirl doesn't like this weather, spending only as much time outside as absolutely necessary.

In best KC tradition, the snow will come after the ice, rarely do we get just snow.

Good morning!
It's snowing lightly out there. Doesn't look like it'll amount to much, though. *sigh*
And they're saying we may get sleet again. I don't want sleet! No more icy stuff! Want SNOW!

We lucked out and got less freezing rain and more sleet than expected. They're saying we'll get snow this afternoon.

We're getting a little snow right now. Supposed to get just a couple of inches today, but it's sposed to snow all night, with an additional 2-5 inches tomorrow! Gonna do my shopping today so I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow, if'n I don't have to!

Good morning!
It just poured off and on all night...the front is supposed to come in any time and drop the temps. The hope is that the rain will have moved out of the area before that front hits. We need to dry out a bit before it freezes. It's 34 degrees out there right now.
We are absolutely soaked. At this point there is more concern about flash flooding, but a freeze could cause real problems this afternoon.

So I guess all those parks and soccer fields are underwater.
How are the chickens doing?
