Great looking family! I can remember doin' the role-playing ourselves...we have a number of pictures from over the years. St. Joseph in camo pants? ;-)
You have a great looking family, as you know! My gosh, though...the baby isn't a baby anymore! *sniff* What a difference a year makes!
I woulda LOVED a jacket like thegirl got...not to mention the bows. Too cool!
I'm so glad she likes it!
I'll definitely get a picture. Probably not for a while, though, we've got it all rolled up and in a shipping tube and that's a pain. It's really gorgeous, though.
I've been doing research on computer parts. Once I get my fellowship money next semester I'm going to start investing in hardware. That's going to be fun.
And if I get money back from the IRS I'll get a flatscreen.
Good evening! Just back from a day out at the house. Even brought the dogs...they had a blast, though they spent most of the day driving us crazy barking outside at nothing. I'm wondering if I'd be pushing my luck to bring 'em out again tomorrow...
We are going to have our big meal tomorrow. We had a big ham dinner with company on Thursday and had so many sweets and leftover ham and other such things today that no one really felt like making the turkey and fixin's we had available. Instead we had bean soup with ham, and sourdough toast. Mmmm... And tomorrow we'll have turkey.
Works for me!
I think I want a new laptop eventually...something I can actually carry around for writing.
Either that or something along the lines of that device I pointed out awhile back - something without so much of a breakable screen.
But...I'm all moneyed out for a long time with the wedding and all.
Unless I become rich and famous in the next six months, of course.
I think I can put together a low-end box for under $400. Which is cheap enough that I can afford it. I really need a good backup system.
My system still does more or less all I need it to, though of course I'd LIKE something slicker and newer. Can't justify it.
*sigh*
Which is just as well, I guess, 'cause I couldn't afford one even if I DID need one!
But I would like something to use for writing. On the other hand, notebooks and pens will never go out of style. It's just that...typing it in takes time. Not nearly as much time as composing on the fly (I can type it in really fast once I've got it written, even with a bit of editing along the way), but it's still time.
So that portable-keyboard-with-memory really appeals to me. Lot more rugged than a notebook, too, and it runs on standard batteries.
Maybe by next Christmas!
I'm such a gadget geek...
Maybe! And at least you enjoy writing by hand, even if it's slow.
Yep, I sure do!
Spent a lot of time today and yesterday writing...right near the woodstove, where I could watch the flames whenever I stopped to ponder...
It was lovely.
Ah, that does sound wonderful. Lovely.
Everyone who got toys with working parts or manuals is investigating them. I didn't so I'm having fun reading techie sites.
I think I'm going to hit the hay. Too many nights of staying up past my bedtime are catching up with me!
Besides, if I go to bed early, I can stay in bed awhile after I wake up and just *think*. I love that time...so long as I know the alarm clock isn't about to start shrieking at me any second.
Good night!
Tomorrow is Sunday. I'm happy. The Christmas Eve service was so lovely, and I can't wait for church tomorrow...
Adorable pics of kids g'nad....
wwwwoooooo. We just got home after long day at the beach house, fantastic Christmas day, Homer the dog behaved very well all day here alone. No damage done, though he's happy to see us!
yuh know... when yuh name 'em... they're yours...
Merry Christmas you two... and all you Holers...can I say "holers"?...
tell me 'bout it... that's why I gotta get deer #4 in the freezer... them kids can eat...
gonna be a cold late bow season...
Well, you just did!
Don't know why I'm still up. Over the last two nights I've gotten a total of 10 hours sleep, and it ain't nearly enough! I want to go to an earlier Mass tomorrow cause we may get some significant snow in the afternoon. Don't want to try to get to 5:30 Mass, or more importantly back HOME after a few inches have fallen. We also want to set Gimli up for a family Christmas picture, and that needs doing around noon when we have the most light.
Glad to hear Homer did well. He looked like he'd made himself at home in the pictures you posted. What do the horses think of him, or him of them?
mrsnad made I dunno how many loaves of Kuchen tuh take tuh the naybers...
*sniff*... nary a crumb in thehouse...
yuh know... "trebuchet" would be kewl if'n it t'wern't Frog speak...
hey Suzi... yep... thenewboy's growin' up...
no cinnamon rolls here... I wuz thinkin' of yuh...
g'nite all...
The coolness of trebuchets transcends language.
I want one.
Then I can hurl things at Doughboy's house.
