Excellent post.

I will never forget when I first started teaching. I started off teaching in the Catholic schools, and had one year a boy who would not behave in church during our weekly all school Mass. This went on for some time. I contacted the parents to discuss this, and asked them how they kept him in line when they went to Mass? (I belonged to a different parish from where I taught.)

Their response... "We don't go to church, that's your job to figure it out!"

Enough said.

#217...I agree!!

Jenny taught at a Christian school for 8 years....

..she will, if the Lord wills, homeschool Emily or Christian school.

Dobson has it right!

Having said this......I know there are dedicated Christian teachers in our public schools and right here on ATRW!!!!!!

....but with the constant chipping away of anything Godly in the public arena....and the fact that the schools have our children captive many hours a day....

...we must care who we're delegating the responsibility to.

Even Christian teachers are hamstrung by the dictates of the school......

...

Actually, I just saw your response Jemian, and have not read the entire context.....but proceeded to 'pile on' with my opinion.

I'll go catch up.

"Thank you Gengis Khan. Welcome to "our" world. We do have some interesting conversations here and a lot of news. America is a "one of a kind" of country. Anyone from anywhere in the world can come here, become a citizen and be an American, whereas other countries will always call the newcomer by their previous country. You can say we are the vegetable soup of the world.
Good Morning All. Beautiful coooool day in central Texas."

I love this site but more importantly we here in India love the American people. U will get a first hand experience of that when u come to India. U MAY NOT like everything about our country but we still love to have Americans guests visiting our country. Perhaps just the same u may find we have a lot of things in common ...for example democracy, freedom of speech, liberty and personal rights.
We also have a diverse culture much like ur great country.

Late to catch up on the thread, but wanted to say that your link about the cats doing the dicorating (and undecorating) is great. Having three cats here, one a precocious one year old, I can appreciate the humor!
