I can't believe what I just saw on that show. If you watched it, you know what I'm talking about. The "funhouse" skit...

The funniest thing I've ever seen on SNL, at least since I was old enough to watch, like '90, on, was the Will Ferrell/Darrell Hammond Bush and Gore series.

They had them down. Darrel Hammond does the most amazing Gore and Clinton, he's one of the greatest mimics there is.

Dana Carvey was great with Bush 1 and the Church Lady too.

Besides a few skits like that, it bores me, used to watch it in high school some to be up with what friends were talking about Mondays.

So much immaturity in high school - favorite shows they liked to talk about, SNL, and South Park.

They were surviving on the bones of the originals.

SNL turned to crap after Conan stopped writing for them. SNL is ridiculous. Where's the humor? There is none. I was flipping channels and noticed that skit as well. Was ridiculous. Correct, it's run by a bunch of liberals who want to mimick anyone with moral values.

I also noticed Maher was on MAD TV. He got the pleasure to do the exact same thing. Mimick and lash out at Bush while degrading thanksgiving.

And you wonder if they hate what America stands for? Bill Maher is an idiot. He takes acts that were done hundreds of years ago to justify his anger towards us, when every single country took part in what we did long ago. With their logic, every single country should reverse into history to give whomevers land was stolen. Where does that lead?

Maher, go to hell.

The last time I remember a truly on the mark, very funny episode was with William Shatner, doing a skit as himself at a Star Trek convention. That was in 1986.

I thought that one with Will Farrel (sp?) as the professor in the hot tub was pretty funny. It seems nowadays they're trying to suck.

SNL Founder Loren Michaels is getting very very old to be still producing this immature stuff geared to high school students. He has a tin ear when it comes to real comedy. the best comedy is universal and does not put anyone down. It does not even depend on a shared point of view. SNL once had its hey day but that is gone forever. It is time for Michaels to retire and give the show a graceful burial.

True, liberals love preaching to the rest of us how open-minded and tolerant they are. And it's true, they are, until someone disagrees with them. Then it's "You're a racist!!" not "I disagree with your view on affirmative action because..." or "You HATE gays!" rather than "I believe the definition of marriage should be changed because..." etc. etc. etc.

It's getting harder and harder to take any self-proclaimed liberal or 'progressive' the least bit seriously.

Yeah, I saw it too. It was way over the top. But oh well. That is one more show that I will never watch again.

But has anyone ever seen SNL do a skit that makes fun of muslims? I haven't.

They've had skits making fun of Al Queda several times in the last few years.

Have you seen the Al Pacino news conference skit? You will laugh till you cry...it is THAT funny....

I haven't watched it much since the days of Kevin Nealon doing Weekend Update, Wayne's World, Toonces the Driving Cat, Deep Thoughts with Jack Handy, and Sprockets.

I wasn't disturbed at all. I actually enjoy watching them thrash about in frustration.

I gave up on SNL years ago. They leapt over the line long ago and never looked back. Sickening what liberal audiences think is funny...

I agree. The process of main steaming hate usually starts with simple, seemingly innocuous jokes. At that point, objections are dismissed as intolerant or somehow out-of-step, narrow or prudish.
