How did you know about my old business at Harmony Borax Works!?!?!? I led so many tours there, and have some photos I should dig out there. "Trailer Life" featured me at that mine, same with a PBS special. Hee hee, my 15 minutes of fame all happened there :) not trying to brag, just happy to see my old stomping grounds

Good advice, thank you, will bring camera and record badges. Glad you understand my frustration.

LOL about your border solution too. If only.

Good morning, BQ. While perusing the News/Activism latest comments, I see that the thread we discussed yesterday is still active. Mr. MC is one hostile human being. Whew.

It has long since stopped being a problem of just the border states. They are being imported by the truckloads to Georgia, Iowa, North Carolina and Arkansas, just to name a few. More and more of the American countryside is looking more like Mexico than America. The states aren't going to crack down because they rely too much on federal money, and I have some idea whereof I speak. Neither political party wants to control it because they have a vested interest in rewarding illegals, and to h*ll with the will of the people. It isn't that they can't seal the borders, or prosecute employers who hire illegals. It isn't that the resources don't exist. Where there's a will there's a way, and therein lies the problem. There is no will, except on the part of the people, who, in case you haven't noticed, don't amount to much in the overall scheme of things anymore. If the people pass a ballot initiative they don't like and it gets passed into law, some self-appointed judicial demigod will just toss it out and do what the highest "paying" politicians want anyway. Never mind the fact that the number of mideastern Muslims, in all probability with evil intent, slipping in by blending with the Mexicans coming in from the south has gotten alarmingly high.

Outstanding...and all too true.

Tyson, and other chicken and hog producers, are busing illegals into the country with impunity.

Mornin' Mo. It's been raining here for a change. We've had an unusually dry rainy season; we've actually had to water our garden! It's been sunny and cool, cold at night (cold here is low 30's). The frost killed the impatiens I had planted along the front walk.

We got a rain storm Monday night, and it rained last night as well. Can't complain about it, though.

But, national security is not something I want to be wary of, really.

All the laws put in place during the Bush administration will still be there during the Hillary!™ administration...

Well, we can't seal the borders, as they leak like a sieve.

Yes we can. If we have the will...

Libby, I hate to tell you this, but I must. It is common knowledge that if anyone has a passport, been in the military or works in a government agency...your privacy has already been invaded and can be accessed.

Uh huh. Where are Kerry's records?

We don't have the political will. It would help if we could deny public benefits to illegal immigrants, and enforce the law against employing illegals. But we don't even do that. The City of Concord even built a day laborer center at tax payer expense so illegals have a place to gather when looking for work. Turns out that they don't like the location (it has been set back a block or two from Monument Blvd, and they want to be right on the main drag) so it seems that they're back hanging out in front of the 7/11 store.

Maybe it was Swervie. It was a couple of days after I joined your gang, and I had mentioned acupuncture. Someone posted a scary photo of a Silence of the Lambs-type guy with needles poking out everywhere.
