Thank you! It was a bit scary driving through all the snow and ice. Good thing Iceman is used to it from Indiana.

Didn't get to see the Slabs, but drove nearby. I was in heaven in all my borax mining towns and processing areas: Daggett, Mojave, Boron, Calico, Red Mountain... Death Valley was mainly closed because of major flooding, but we hadn't been planning to go there anyway. There was so much to see around there - so many mining huts and ruins. I swear I was a swamper in a previous life.

The men's department, huh? Great! I bet you'll find a nice, rich eligible bachelor this Christmas season.

I thought she had already found one, and that's why she was missing. ;)

Bummer, all she's been doing is working, and without cable. I was hoping to hear wedding plans.. Darn it!

"I used "whatever" because you never know today what they might be"

That was my point. Do you have any idea how rarely we actually deal with a family where there is a mother and a father and they are married to each other and all the children are theirs? Hint: not very darn many.

It rained here yesterday. The rain has stopped, but it's overcast and looks like it could start again any time. I am SO tired of all the rain. We have had a lot of it this fall. But, at least it isn't cold out, not at the moment anyway. That could change at any time also.

I know where you're coming from.

This girl, at a quick glance, didn't look like the type with kids yet, but at a quicker glance, he looked a liiiiittle older, you know what I mean? Probably his second, third, fourth...time around. :)

I'll keep my 'eye' out, and see if I catch them again, lol.

"I think it would make a great card..."

Yes, it would. We could even post a thread as a DD Christmas greeting to all of FR. I mean, why keep it to ourselves? *Snicker*

Saleswomen in the better men's suits get to help the rich gentlemen off and on with the coats they are trying on. And one can find out if their shoulders are really as broad as with the suit coat on? Is it hot in here? Yes...I bet Val is having a good time. LOL

Interesting, except that I did not post that and he makes it look as though I did. Also, the post he thinks got him suspended he claims was to me. It was not. I don't know who hit the abuse button on him, but it wasn't me.

"I'm working at a department store in the mall selling men's clothes for the season. It's fun."

Sounds like an excellent way to expand the collection. Good thinking.

Welcome back. I sure don't miss all the snow and ice driving I left behind in Colorado.

Well, gotta run. Lord, I hate it when I'm the only one in the office to take care of something. I have to drive clear down to Big Flat to do an investigation because this kid is scared to go home from school. Sounds kinda bad. Both our investigators are out today for one thing or another, and the one in the next county was busy, so guess who gets too do it....as I fall another couple of days behind in everything else. This is probably going to take me the rest of the day, then I will have to go back to the office and attempt to prepare for a staffing that is scheduled for tomorrow that I have not had time to do anything on. Argghhhhh!!!!

The military town where we went by the Sierra Nevada had the best chiropractor I've ever been to. I had the best dentist ever near there too... for five years. My back was killing me from that last day of work plus the drive... so we had to find a chiro. Wish there were some OTC pain pills... argh. Anyway, he gave me some herbs and good treatment.

I managed to offend (not really) his assistants when I said I couldn't believe that small town now has two Starbucks. They have a Wal-Mart and K-Mart and a brand new Home Depot, but in this case I think those are good things and we even went to the K-Mart for Christmas stuff :) The town had zip, zero, nothing before. The nurses are natives there and said "hey, let us have our Starbucks!". They were laughing though and so was I.
