Thanks for the update, Mo. Yes, she does have a long road ahead of her. You all will need a lot of strength to help her through it, and provide support for her and her husband.
I'm glad to hear that it is going well with her, all things considered. I will continue to pray for her. If ever there was a disease that needs to wiped from the face of the earth, it is cancer. It is such a devastating illness.
He said all the folks that Darla works with at the hospital pulled a lot of strings and got the best doctors there and the best team and were able to get the surgery scheduled for Monday instead of Wed.
.
I still remember alot of what my dad went through .. he was in and out of the hospital and towards the end was in bed all the time.
That was back in the late 60's early 70's and though the medical field has come a long way since those days .. there is still much work that needs to be done to stop this kind of illness
I got a little orange-point siamese kitten from the pound to keep our long-haired, deaf, persian cat company during the day while we were both at work. This was back when pets were allowed to stay in our bedroom overnight, and young Clyde decided that under covers at the foot of the bed would be his resting spot - he kept my feet toasty warm for several winters.
He became our neighbor's little girl's best friend and pal: she would dress him up and push him around in her baby buggy, have "tea" with him, and generally baby him.
When we moved across town, we decided to leave Clyde behind so he wouldn't try to get back to the super cushy deal he'd found. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the ripe old age of twenty leaving behind two families with wonderful memories of our friend.
I've learned that Cats never forget anything .. and will just wait for the right moment to get you back
Yes .. my sister's cat never forget that bath I tried giving him once. *L*
At bath time, I'd surely trade you two big chow-mix poochies for one good slick-haired hound dog.
Nermal used to do that. He used to love burrowing down under the covers and was a great foot warmer. Not so much anymore, although occasionally he will get up under the top comforter to sleep when it's cold.
When my best friend had children, the decision was made to get rid of the tellie until the kids were in high school...and this has now been thirty years ago.
Both of them are outstanding young adults with their own kids now.
Thanks for the good update.
Continuing thoughts and prayers for you and all your family as you do what has to be done at this time.
I'd love to see your Christmas Vacation pictures! We just had a very pleasant experience. We were out running errands and stopped to pick up a bite of lunch at a little burger/italian beef/ gyro joint that isn't in our direct area. They had up Merry Christmas signs and Christmas music playing over the speakers, both secular and religious Christmas music.
I am going to call the manager tomorrow and let him know how I appreciated their acknowlegement of Christmas. Just call me one of those Bush-voting religious Christian zealots, LOL. Also a freepmail to you in a minute.
Prairie
I'll bet you would! heh.
lodwick-"Siamese are some of the most entertaining cats of all."
I thought you folks knew that is Val's cat!
Some of us actually have lives.....
Ooooh....I'm gonna get it for that......
Our Gran can multi task with the best of them.
Is that a Western or Southern Burb?
I hope to see a lot more of "those Bush-voting religious Christian zealots" being assertive against the socialist/communist tyrants of the ACLU. I, for one, am tired of being bullied by these tools of Satan. They have for too long intimidated people into being afraid to mention Christ or what He stands for, particularly in the workplace, for fear of losing their jobs. They want us silenced because we, or more specifically, the God we follow, is the only thing standing in the way of the full implementation of their godless agenda.
Difficult stuff to deal with, keep hanging in there.
