LOL.. I'm cooking a rump roast too but on top of the stove the New England way. lol
Yep - my mother always had her latest model Kodak at hand.
LOL!
That old fashioned candy store in Savannah has all those kinds of candies from back then, plus some other fantastic stuff too. And all the old penny candies. And they have salt water taffy and pralines that are out of this world.
I don't have all the details yet, but it seems she's been having problems with her balance lately and she just thought she had an ear infection
I'm not exactly sure what happen this morning but my brother rushed her to the hospital and after doing a CAT Scan .. they found a very large brain tumor and she'll be operated on Wed.
If y'all could say a few prayers for her, I'd appreciate it very much
I love finding stores with high ceilings, wooden floors, candy in the front, and jars full of pickled things. I think there is still a store in Tombstone like that.
Well, I'm not THAT old. I just have a good memory of when I was very young, and I was raised by my great-grandma. I think that accounts for some of the things I remember. I think Nully and I are close to the same age. Swervie is around there somewhere too I believe.
Oh no. I sure will. This has been a very bad week for so many here.
Will do, Mo.
You realize, don't you, that I'm kidding? I always hung out with older people when I was in my teens and twenties, although I tended to date younger men ( my hubby is 6 years younger than I).
I'm using one of Carlo3b's recipes from a thread months ago. It's pretty good and easy to make.
I think I'm around the same age as you and Nully.
Yes, totally about kidding. I love it! For some reason though, I was thinking you, Mo1 and I were 30ish.
Then you ought to visit southeast Missouri, BQ. We still have stores like that in very rural areas. And they're not the cutesy artsy ones but those that have stood still in time. And you would just love the pickled eggs and baloney still served at bars here in town.
Oh my. Thoughts and prayers up, Mo.
Wow! Thanks for the tip. Next time we drive to Indiana, we'll have to check it out. Tucson is surrounded by beautiful mountains and I love it here, but the town itself is kinda strip-mallish ugly and architecturally dull.
Sigh, I remember all 25.
I was a hippie, I really never expected to live past 30.
The only explanation I can think of for surviving nearly twice that long is that I didn't drink enough, drive fast enough, smoke enough or do enough illegal drugs in my youth.
What a waste.
How depressing.

This is what just happened to my 33 year old friend, except she did: The only explanation I can think of for surviving nearly twice that long is that I didn't drink enough, drive fast enough, smoke enough or do enough illegal drugs in my youth. And, it's so unfair because there are so many others who want to live...
