I am happy that this one has found someone who seems to tolerate her "moods"...for now anyway.

He seems to be pretty much in love with her, so I guess that helps.

It has caused her to calm down a tad.

She took her GED and was quite happy with the results.

Now that she is "emancipated" she can get grants and aid for college...she plans to start in January.

Baby steps I guess....

I hold those with GEDs in high regard. It's a tough decision to make and is quite an accomplishment.

My advice to you would be to support her in her efforts to continue her education but do so in a way that she can't construe as 'expectations' from you. That's a fine line but an important one, as we learned from experience ... *sigh*
