Hahaha Bev.. I am killing the thread for you?

Just wanted to mention one more thing. One of the widowers I took a meal to & chatted a bit with is one I dont know well..til today. He is 75. Lost his wife about one year ago. They had a strong marriage. He cries for her daily . I note he has lost probably 50 # since she died. He is maybe 150.. slim.

I know that the meal was my "in".. I feel so overwhelmed with all the needs in life to help with. We chatted about half hour.

He is lonely, lost, sad. He does trust God but just yearns to join her. I hated to leave.

I think Toby and I know exactly how your friend feels. I have days when I wonder why the Lord didn't take me when he took Larry. Encourage your friend to attend church and check with your local Senior Citizens group - in mnay areas, there are meals at local churches each day of the week. After lunch, there are Bingo games, or a bridge table or two and some just plain "chat" areas. He needs to get out of the house.

Please tell him for me that it is OK to have a PITY PARTY, but...he must clean up afterwards:-)
