Hillary is the most hated woman in America..she can't win.
That is unless she runs for President of NYC.

"Romney/Rice"Sounds nice!
To: politicsfan
As soon as he said Condi I turned him off. I think Hillary could be beaten by a real Eisenhower type War Hero like Tommy Franks.

Nothing good can come of letting Dick do the thinking.

Dick is wrong.. but now is not the right time for jeb, period. Free people reject dynasties, and that is how it would be percieved.
sHillary is by far a more decisive candidate and the same rule applies.

"Romney/Rice"

The simple way to defeat Hillary is to destroy her in the Senate. That is, proceed with the Republican agenda. If she joins it, she erodes her base of Bolsheviks. If she opposes it, she shows herself for what she is, a Bolshevik. Either way she loses -- regardless of who the Republican candidate is in 2008.
And I think Little Dick Morris is way out ahead of himself again. We don't know that Hillary will be the Democrat's candidate in 2008. A lot can happen between now and February 2008 when Iowa holds its caucases and New Hampshire holds its primary.
To: politicsfan
Dick Morris makes prediction after prediction with absolute certitude, often buttressing his position with some anecdote full of insider information from past campaigns to give the impression that he is the possessor of the secret knowledge. He simply has no memory when it comes to his past failures, of which there are plenty. Except for dirt on the Clintons (and even then, sometimes), I take everything thing he says with a large grain of salt.
To: Nutmeg08
Never underestimate the Clintons. They'd have to crop dust the Red States with Sarin gas to even have a chance.
To: politicsfan
Remember, Dick Morris hates Hillary, he's wrote books against Bill and HIliary...
Clintons are a bad people, but dont underestimate either of them.

Throwing Jeb in there was rediculous. Rudy would win I think if he ran. McCain as VP would seal it. Or you could swap them and still win it.
Now if they'd only amend the Constitution to let Arnie run ;)

Agreed. The way to beat Hillary is with a CONTRAST. Any mainstream conservative, unwavering in his middle-America beliefs will capture the support of the Bush voters.
The WORST thing we could do would be to nominate a hold-your-nose Republican such as Pataki, Giuliani, or McCain.
As Rush pointed out today, you can't win on hate alone. We must nominate a candidate people can believe in, not a a simple "opponent" to Hillary.
