I think John McCain would be very good at it. He's not a hardliner and a good negotiator. He has a good record on foreign policy and garners a lot of international respect.

President Bush will not appoint a Republican Senator from a state with a Democrat Governor to any Cabinet position.

McCain isn't going anywhere. The Governor of Arizona is a Democrat and we can't afford to lose that seat in the Senate.
