If I had a explicit reason, I'd give it. Something just doesn't ring true.
The mods have evidently decided to let him stay, and I'm not going to start flaming until I have something better than a hunch. As Daschle would say, though, the timing is suspicious.
I'm going to let my subconscious chew on the matter for a while.
