In our local radio cut-in (St. Louis) on Fox radio, 15 mins ago, they send that Aschroft was rumored to be resigning for health reasons.

I like my rumor better.

I was mortified when Fat Teddy was questioning him during the confirmation hearings a few years ago. Ashcroft has put up with a lot after losing his Senate seat, and the never ending malicious attacks from the media.
