Frist (Senate Majority Leader) and Cornyn (member of the judiciary committee) need to have a sit-down with Arleen and set him straight that (1) Bush went to bat for him in his primary challenge from a solid conservative, (2) his ascendance to the chairmanship of the committee is not guaranteed, (3) this posturing and threats of betrayal is NOT the way to deal with this president or with the GOP leadership.

The pubbies on the committee should bypass Spectre and choose a different chairman.

xshub was all over this yesterday. and he used to WORK on the senate judiciary committe, in fact he was there for Bork and Thomas and Ginsburg. Arleen needs to be threatend or bypassed.
