Their threat is mounting by the day. The time has come to put the hammer down!!
Informative post!
Yes, I'm quite aware that we're trying to squeeze Iran. It's just the reference to some irrelevant TV show that I didn't understand. If that's what our FRiend was referring to, why didn't he just say it?
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
that is why we have plenty of troops and equipment on both sides of Iran today.
Star Trek episode "The Tholian Web". The Enterprise was being hemmed in by "laser beams" forming around it in space while it was disabled and unable to escape.
Once the final pieces of a Tholian web are in place, no one has been known to escape.
It was just a covert way of referring to what we are trying to do now.
Got to have some fun in your life, good fellow, or you'll end up having a stroke instead.
Your's was the most accurate description of events and strategies I have seen in a long time. It was said about 18 months ago that the US government gave the mullahs only 24 months or so left to hang on. There are Christians massing along the Iraqi/Iranian border ready to move into Iran the moment the mullahs fall to take the gospel of Jesus Christ into Iran.
As for fun, I have plenty of it. I play guitar, shoot holes in the desert on a weekly basis, am writing a book (yeah right...I've been writing it for 10 year now!), have what seems to be a pretty healthy relationship with my relatively new girlfriend, etc. I just can't stand the pinheaded tendency of many on this forum to frame everything in the terms of some irrelevant sci-fi show. Star Trek, Star Wars, SG-1, even LOTR...all may be fine entertainment, but are quite forgettable when discussing things that matter.

"Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho"
Anything for the cav. The tholian web was an episode on Star-trek where the Tholians spun it around the Enterprise in space to trap it. Kirk as usual found a way out and made sure there would be more episodes.
God bless the Cav...especially K troop 3rd ACR. (I served in it as a 19 Delta cav scout back in 83-85.)
Out freakin' standing! I was with B Trp, 1-2 ACR in '85-'87...different continents, but still Armored Cavalry. Always good to meet a brother!
Thanks for the explanation. I agree that we need to finish the anaconda/pincer/boxing in operation around Iran. If we can finish the job with little risk to our guys, so much the better. They're gonna have their hands full with Syria, Yemen, Saudi, Jordan (maybe), Pakistan (maybe), the Philippines, Indonesia, Chechnya, etc. Wherever Islam rears it's ugly head, we may very well have to bash it in...even right here at home. Stay strong bro, and...
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I have it in for the Syrians and the Lebanese since they were responsible for the Beirut bombing in '83. Iran has been asking for a spankin since the late 70's with the hostage thing.
I feel for your old unit. They took away their tanks and gave them humv's. Sad state of afairs...nothing like armor and firepower. The kids need all the help they can get now in Iraq.
"PS... What does Troll mean? I'm newbie..."
Chemical_Boy thinks you might be a TROLL. A TROLL is someone that is not a bonified conservative or posts things that just don't appear that they fit into the conservative way of thinking. There are moderators on this site that keep an eagle eye over what newbies try to say.
So perhaps you should click on the help section for starters and get an idea of how this site works, if you are no sure.
Don't worry. If you are a conservative, freedom loving person, you will do ok. Or perhaps not so conservative but seeking the some truths in conservative thought etc., you will probably fit in just fine. I'm a newbie to, just signing up in early Sept of this year. Guess I would have been a long time member if I only knew this site existing earlier on. Welcome the freedom express! Most folks here are quite kind, and many are tolerant of newbies. Hey they where newbies once.

LOL! Forgettable to you. They are intimate parts of our lives growing up and living in America.
But Goerge is like you, to the dismay of newsmen everywhere, who don't understand someone who isn't keen to discuss the latest episode of Sex in the City or the zeit gheist. Popular culture exists on another planet for him. His life is more real, as perhaps yours is too.
But a balanced society should have some nerds and that is one of my functions.
Much of what I learned about human nature came from literature through the eyes of many astute observers.
Time to start catching up on the sleep I lost over the last week doing my "72" hour GOTV participation.
Cheers!
Patty
