Suzi, that sounds delicious! What is the sweetener? Maltilol? That's good stuff!
Rosie, how was the session? Oh my goodness, I wish I could go!
I'm fixin' cheap cinnamon rolls for the boys...you know, the kind that come in a tube? They love 'em and the house will smell good.
It was a pretty quiet session. Just me and Stephen and Bill and Jim. One guy that plays with us came for the first time - he plays with another band and their practice night is on Thursdays, so usually he's unable to come. However, he hurt his hand and couldn't really play along, so there wasn't much to it! All family members! We coulda held it at my house. But I like that pub...it's a nice little place.
The guys are friends of mine from the Parish, and they used to be St. Nick for the Holly Fair every year when I used to chair it. They are not connnected to the Girl Scout troop in any way, they just do it as a favor for me. One of the guys is doing a low carb thing, so last year I made him some sugar free chocolates with chopped toasted hazelnuts. I wanted to do something different this year. I'm going to call the other guy's wife to find out if there is something he particularly likes.
Just finished the Chocolate Chip cookies. I think I made about 8 dozen!! I'm taking 3dz.for the Friendly house party, and one dz. each to the two custodians who are so nice to hang the big wreaths for me (and take them down after Christmas) each year. I'll take pics of the wreaths and post them later.
