I did not like that scene. I mean think of those poor poor soldiers suck up top of the mountain, freezing their butts off waiting year after year to light one fire. I surprised anyone was up there paying attention when the signal finally came. And then what? Now they had to go and cut down all that wood again and haul it back up the mountain to rebuild the fire just so they can wait again. I tell ya I felt sorry for them.

That sequence was awful darn good. That and the montage when Faramir rides out with Pippin singing.

Clare and I were just amazed watching the violinists during the Lord of the Rings Symphony in Hartford. Their hands and arms were just blurs as they moved across the strings!
