We've been talking about a second dog for some time. We were thinking about a youngish/puppy type critter, but hadn't done any series looking. Over the weekend, I started checking the Petfinder site. We saw a few likely candidates.

Sunday afternoon I decided to search the SPCA site, since they have a location about 5 miles from home. There were several older/juvenile puppies that looked vey cute. They were all gone by the time the adoption office opened yesterday.

So I get this phone call. Miss Sadie is about 4 months old. She is supposed to be a Chatahoula Cattle Dog/Rottie mix. She looks much more like an Australian Shepard to me.

She is extremely affectionate, and loves the attention, especially from Bitty Girl.

Chelsea appears to be very glad to have a pal again. She's been an only dog for about two years.

I have seen those Chatahoula Cattle Dogs and they are really neat dogs. Sadie doesn't look like a Rottie to me, how big are her paws? Since she is so young, her coloring may change some.

This is Gypsy's first winter with us and she is starting to get her winter coat, lots of very fine, fuzzy fur on her fore and hind legs. Makes her legs look like they are covered with frost, very weird. She is supposed to be a rough-coat collie mix, do you have any idea what the other part could be?
