I've read that German doctors (used to) routinely perscribe beer for breastfeeding moms. It promoted both quantity and quality of the milk. Not the cheap, overprocessed American stuff that comes in cans, but the dark German homebrew type beers.

Not that this has anything to do with anything, but my old Gaffer has gotten back into homebrewing... ;-)

I'm not much of a beer drinker (I prefer white wine), but some of the dark batches he's made are tasty even to me.

He has one batch that looks really good that should be ready Christmas day...

Heh...if I drive to Shootmoot, I'll have to see if he'll let me bring some.
