That's really what I'm thinking...I wouldn't feel comfortable "sipping and enjoying" an alcoholic beverage around him. Although he never restricted me, I always got the impression he appreciated my consideration.

And the jedis understand that there are drugs that one takes for pain and there are drugs that people abuse. Matthew knows that one is ok and one is wrong. He also knows that some people drink alcohol and they are not bad folks because of it (his grandmother, for example) but that our family abstains from drinking. I'm pretty sure I could explain to him that I drink 8 ounces of wine because it's shown to lower cholesterol and he would understand.

But again, sipping and enjoying wouldn't be part of the lesson. I would really take it very perfunctorily.

But I still don't think "gulping" wine is a good plan. Isn't that likely to give you a headache? And make you woozy?
