To: The Flying Dutchman

Well, since I'm currently getting inspiration from a really great song which I understand, oh, five words of - yes. But there are some English songs which I have almost found stories to write around.

Do you do "image songs"? Associate a song with a character or set of character or country or something?

And I find putting my favorite (foreign-language) songs on infinite loop helps me concentrate on writing without distracting me with pretty lyrical imagery.

Absolutely! Certain characters in mine, have their "signature tune", to help me get the character in mind.

For example, the fanfare from "The Ten Commandments" is just perfect for The King.

And for the King marching off to war, "Mars, The Bringer of War" from "The Planets" works perfect...

Other soundtrack tunes and classical pieces work so well!
