Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

OK, let's go visit the Qs!" Dunno where that came from! Guess he just assumed you'd be up. ;-)Well, I was! I'm a late nighter, so this getting up early to get Joseph to school is a real bummer! ;o)
I would LOVE for y'all to drop in sometime! You're always welcome; we'd find a place to put you!

We're listening to the actor's commentaries on RoTK... They're pretty good. sometimes hilarious.
Horse shoer coming this morning.

I enjoyed those on the last movies!
Did someone lose a shoe, or is this just a checkup?

Billy Boyd is funny because when he isn't ~really~ trying to articulate, he only has one vowel.... "eh". Some of his sentences are indecipherable and we have to back it up.
You know who's funny? Well, besides Dom and BIlly.... Is Bernard Hill.

Trim off about half an inch on Cyn and the pony, who are barefoot and file the edges a bit. Take Bay's shoes off, trim and put them back on. Or new ones if his pads and shoes are worn out.

Heh...he got beeped a lot in the other interviews.
He's not NEARLY as dignified when he isn't playing Theoden...is he?
Billy Boyd...I actually rarely have trouble understanding him, mostly just 'cause of hanging out with pipers and all the Scottish stuff I listen to. However, we've listened to the interviews at his site before, and I tell ya one...having one Scot interview another seems to make 'em BOTH revert to the very, very strongest version of their accent possible, and especially when they crack each other up it's all but unintelligible. Funny, though!

Mornin' Rosie! It's almost time for elevensies here, but have to wait until parents come to go eat...they are in town for the weekend. TGIF!!
Spent last night watching the actor commentary on the first disc of the EE...not too bad! Would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Rhys-Davies for pointing out various truths about nature and trees and how it WILL survive us humans. I'm all for stewarding the Creation God gave us, but I am rather tired of entities enforcing politics and terrorism in its name rather than focusing on true scientific and reasonable solutions.
And can I say again how MUCH I loved the scene between Pippin and Faramir?! It was PERFECT!!!!!!
I love Pippin. 'Nuff said!
Hugs and waves to all my Hobbit Hold mates!

Heh...when I was in Europe, about the only English channel we got (besides the Armed Forces Network) was the BBC channel, and a lot of their shows were set in Scotland or remote parts of England. I swear, at least at first most of 'em didn't do me any more good than watching stuff in German! I understood about the same percentage of the dialog...
But I got better at it.
