The Hobbit Hole XVII - A new road or a secret gate...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A new road or a secret gate...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Duct tape would work, wouldn't it?

Super glue...never know when you might need that. Maybe a light saber?

And a few Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters before the ceremony.

How could I forget that!

I'm going to need a bigger purse.

Duct tape is more versatile.
I was going to suggest drinking early and often but stopping once you start to think you are Michael Flatly.

Heh...I was mixing conversations.

Duct tape...that's an idea.

I haven't decided what time period my story is set in, though!

Purse? To far away in a time of need. You must conceal it all on your person.

Did I mention cars? I can't remember.

I like the idea of working duct tape into a story, though...

There was, at the least, a moving van to get Sarah's family to the city.

Ok, you're officially weird enough but not too weird. You're going to have to participate in NaNoWriMo next year, I'm sorry, I'm going to have to insist. And you might find yourself on my list of potential beta-readers.

Ah...you're right. I forgot about that.

And they have telephones, too.

So...duct tape surely exists, right? ;-)

*shudder*

You know, I still haven't seen what the dresses look like! I've only been given vague details.

Be afraid. Be *very* afraid!

Probably would have done it this year if not for the two classes I had. You should drag Emp in too. She will be out of school and bored by then ^.^
