Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I know you're going to be happy to see them!!
I've been spiffing up the house the last few days too...we're getting ready for our two week break and I want to have a nice spiffy house to have it in!

Somebody needs to stick a post it note underneath it that says "Get Over It!!" ;o) Heh...for awhile there, some students kept adding messages to the stop sign just outside the main student parking lot, i.e. "STOP eating animals", "STOP the war", etc.
I always wanted to go out there and put "STOP whining"...

You remember when the jedis and I were stamping all those fliers for Coburn? Well, Steve kept one of the fliers as a memento of our work and put it on his door at work. Some guy tore it up and put it on Steve's desk.
Steve is still pretty upset over it, for two reasons. Of course, the thing meant something to him and that upset him, that this guy destroyed it, but Steve also feels bad because he reacted badly.

Destroying other people's things is just so childish and stupid!
I'm not sure how I'd react to that.

I need to de-clutter so I can get some cleaning up done before Christmas! Both older boys will be home by the end of next week! Woo Hoo! Somehow I can hear my mom saying just what you said, only with "older girls" instead of "older boys".
My sister left a message at our family board about how she wants everyone to come meet her... I left one that said just have someone pick me up, no need for everyone to wait for hours as I get delayed...
