Yeah - I'd hate the birthday at Christmas thing as a kid, though...

Night... I'm writing... I'm on a roll and want to see how far I can get, anyway.

Got this nice freepmail from tongue-tied, who keeps FA-18 SuperHornets flying, yesterday:
--------------
I received both knives today when I got back from [redacted]. That is one outstanding little tool! I will give my son his when I go home this evening, but I wanted to immediately drop you a line and say thanks, again. (I have a lot of jealous pilots and Chiefs checking it out. LOL)
You sir, and your group, are certainly appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to do this for the troops. I can't really call myself a troop, I USED to work for a living, but now its pretty much all paperwork for me.
I miss working the flight deck, in a bad way. My favorite days were when it was raining steadily and we were launching back to back short cycles, staying up there all day. I sure used to sleep well at night. But I also realize that at 45, I couldn't keep up with the kids any more. At any rate, even this old "troop" appreciates the generosity!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I'm going to bake that apple pie and maybe start the dough for the rolls...probably won't head out to the house until afternoon.

For me, that was! Past eight!
Trade-off is that I wilt after ten in the evening, unless I really, really work up to it.
Showered, dressed, ready to start cuttin' apples. I found a nice dutch apple pie recipe that I have all the stuff to make...
