But music night is starting in half an hour and I have cleaning to do...so it may be a late night. I hafta get up SORT of early tomorrow to drop Van-sama off, but I can more or less roll out of bed and go over there, so a late night won't be toooo bad.
I may resort to the pen and paper technique for a bit. I can't edit when I do that, so even though I may not like what I'm writing, I'm stuck with it. I could edit when typing it in, of course, but I force myself not to.

That's not allegory, it's historical fact. And leftists are trying to ruin other people's homes even in peacetime.
More telling than the changes to the Shire was the active indifference of the citizens to the world around them, even after a few of their own came back with stories of worlds undreamt-of. I see this as an an allegory for the Little-Englander. Tolkien didn't write any explicit allegory, but parts of the books take on that aspect just because of the universal truths they address.
