The Hobbit Hole XVII - A new road or a secret gate...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A new road or a secret gate...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Hm...how could a triple precious be worked into the plot? There's a thought. Might be good for the word count...

Good night, Corin!

Are you watching Priscilla, Queen of the Desert? Yes, truly disturbing, but compelling.

hi! PE and I have been rearranging the game room for that desk I keep talking about.

At some point, hopefully sooner than later, he will run a telephone line down the inside wall so I can hook my 'puter up to DSL (He has rigged all the bedrooms to be DSL capable as well... AND they all have a working telegraph network.)

Since we have a futon, 3 desks, 6 wicker dining chairs, 2 end tables, a portrait display, plus all our regular furniture (2 couches, an overstuffed sofa-chair, an ottoman, a coffee table, a side table, and a television set) in the living room, it is much easier and more pleasant to spend time upstairs in the game room.

:-)

As for all the stuff in our living room, hopefully, it will not be there too much loner. Salvation Army was supposed to pick it up yesterday and failed miserably. Sooo, in the morning I am going to call the Allen Community Outreach (our local charity) to come pick it all up asap.

I tried to give some of the furniture to my brother, who just bought a house. He has a futon in his living room, and a desk... no other furniture. He didn't even want a bed that I tired to give him. Oh well. I don't think I would turn my nose to free furniture if I didn't already have anything (like him).

I am kinda liking this Firefox. I haven't had to worry about the whole updating/uninstall issue yet though.

Any other bugs y'all have found yet?

Temporary duty out here in Arkansas.

It's the Recruiter School for the Army National Guard. And POSH - Compared to places I've been, this is the Hyatt Regency!
