Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

All my cats have been parallel.
OTOH, they were also wireless.

Sigh... doing coding project work... we're clueless and we have three weeks. Flippin' assignment of doom.

My desktop at home is a Bush/Cheney one. Guess now that we won, I could swap it for something else. Hm...
*sigh* I'm mostly goofing off. Just finished writing a romance for a character other than the main one - an elderly neighbor telling her the story of her life. How did that happen? I want a neighbor like that, though. Heh...
Too bad writing characters doesn't make 'em real. Though...that's the plot of one of my next stories.
1500 words. Thousand to go. Time for some anime?

Darn...and the whole point of her visiting the neighbor was that the neighbor is supposed to know Mr. Right and was gonna tell her he's a nice guy - without knowing that main character has met him. I have a way for his name to come up in casual conversation.
But instead we got this love story. Ah well. She's a very nice old lady.

We're starting to watch a very, very disturbing movie. Beyond words disturbing. Like a car wreck. Gotta slow down and look.
Do a google search on "hugo weaving priscilla"

I know of what you speak... "Disturbing" does not begin to describe it.
