Yup, I was impressed with that, too! The kids actually respected their father, the wife didn't think he was a moron...

And you're right, the quantity, not the quality, of words is what counts in NaNo!

I use Skim Plus milk and Splenda in it. Precious few calories!

And the mom was actually a stay-at-home mother, wasn't she? I'm amazed...kinda shocked, even.

Yes, she was... and they had more than 1.8 children, the parents were involved in their kids' lives. The dad tried to keep a job he hated for their sake. (Did you recognize Evil Boss's voice? I did...)

Heh. No wonder Pixar's leaving Disney, this just doesn't fit Disney's little worldview.

Oh, and one other positive thing: the various family members didn't always get along perfectly, but they actually enjoyed one anothers' company and hung out together as a family without it being something shameful or "Aw, do we HAFTA?!?"

And no series attitude problems.

I poked the friend I was with and whispered "It's Vizzini! Inconcievable!"

Yes, and that one was a bit of a suprise, probably because I watched Toy Story before "Princess Bride", and the voices aren't quite identical. And the dinosaur never says "inconcievable".

Gah, am in another tricky part. I've got long scenes that write themselves, and then little bridges that take so much work. However, my soundtrack is helping (none of it's in English so I can't get distracted by the lyrics. I've got to send you a couple of these songs, by the way.)

I miss the castle...

No, seriesly, I miss the shoooooes...(not that I don't miss the castle too).

I wore them all year round. Meant I didn't have to have on "real" shoes in case the dog had to go out. Flip flops don't work, cause I need to wear socks in the winter.

But not to fret. I've got a bid in on a pair on eBay that'll be cheaper than sending the one shoooooooess here. Specially since the shoooes are kinda still dressed fer the beach...
