CNN Bias Shows Through on Wolf Blitzer? (Vanity)
CNN | October 18th, 2004 | okstate

Posted on 10/18/2004 2:06:55 PM PDT by okstate

I was just watching the beginning of "Wolf Blitzer Reports," and he talked about how President Bush had reopened a lead on Senator Kerry. But rather then report CNN's OWN poll, they averaged together the five "major" national polls to find the "true" lead... which was displayed as only 5 points. (CNN's poll showed an 8 point lead for the President)

So they won't even use their OWN poll to show what's really going on in the race? Sickening. The average, for inquiring minds, was of CNN/USA Today/GALLUP, WaPo/ABC, IBD/TIPP, Newsweek, and Time.

Did Bernard Shaw really do that? And for whom??

Don't get on me but for some reason I was a little fond of that guy. I remember watching him cover the 1991 Gulf War.

Of course I am positively averse to CNN these days.

I'm getting old, now, and don't remember dates as well as I used to, but I sure remember the image. It was right before he retired. I'm pretty sure it was the 1994 'rat debacle; Hillary-care and the whole national oh-my-god-what-have-we-done reaction to Slick Willey the Rat. 'Rat majorities in the House gone, Senate gone, state legislative houses gone, gubernatorial majority (I think) gone. And all in the blink of an eye. What else COULD could he do except cry on the set.

You have to understand: The mainstream media is fed by photo-finishes. If the spread is greater than 5 points, then they know that people will simply turn off their TVs and go to the movies. And that reduces advertising revenues. Consequently, they're going to do everything in their power to promote the idea that this race is neck-and-neck.
