Hillary and the California Dems are whooping it up out here...I still cannot fathom why Hillary wears the same outfit all day long...she flew into CA yesterday in the a.m., campaigned all day long and by night time, for the big party, she was in the same outfit. Black pantsuit, but of course. Gosh, it must have been rank by then for sure. This woman has no vanity and poor cleanliness, imo, bless her heart.

HILLARY IN CA

New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton told a crowd of John Kerry supporters that this year's presidential election is crucial, from setting the country's future environmental agenda to deciding several Supreme Court appointments. TRANSLATION: IF sKERRY gets elected I get to be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., waves to supporters at a fund-raiser for Democratic Senate candidates in Santa Monica, Calif., Friday, Oct. 15, 2004. Clinton was joined by former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean; Barack Obama, Democratic Senate candidate from Illinois; Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Sen. Jon Corzine, D-N.J.; and the band Red Hot Chili Peppers. (AP Photo/Kevork Djansezian)

How cold was it in Santa Monica that she needed all those sweaters?

I'm just sick of her husband trying to pretend he has the slightest idea what it's like (for those of us who didn't marry a billionaire) to earn a living in the real world.

Very, very few in the District of Criminals have a clue about real life America. And as long as they can tax us, regulate us, and rule us, they really don't care.

Martha Stewart finds the time to update her website from prison. What a trouper!

Imprisoned homemaking honcho Martha Stewart revealed yesterday that her West Virginia slammer "is like an old-fashioned college campus" and her fellow inmates are "nice." Stewart's first letter from "Camp Cupcake" was posted on her Web site, marthatalks.com.

"The camp is fine; it is pretty much what I anticipated," the domestic diva wrote. "The best news - everyone is nice - both the officials and my fellow inmates. I have adjusted and am very busy," wrote Stewart, who surrendered at Alderson Federal Prison Camp on Oct. 8.

"The camp is like an old-fashioned college campus - without the freedom, of course," said Stewart, 63, who is doing five months for lying about a stock sale. rest of story

The spin on the Gulfstream is that she bought it after hubby#1 got killed in a plane crash; he was in a chartered plane and she bought her own plane so she could make sure it was kept up mechanically for the safety of her family...And the house in Nantucket is on a small lot; in fact, they had to build a two story kitchen cauz space is so limited.

I wonder if the American people realize that if Kerry is elected and he raises the taxes on "the rich" it will take all of that revenue and more to "protect" all the Kerry and Edwards homes; plus we will have to have trained SS agents that know how to windsurf, race bikes, ski and play hockey. Plus Ms Edwards insists that her young children be "protected" which translates into free nannies. Talk about a deficit situation!!!

Deductions are our friend.

Being a farmer, I agree that deductions are our friends. However, I am struggling to understand how the Kerry's can enmass that many deductions. My guess is several of the foundations are paying much of the expenses.

Possibly that, and probably having "things" placed in trusts for their benefit would keep the taxable income way down.

All the SS protection that would be required in perpetuity, is really what smokes my rear. That amount of $$$ would run many countries.

Come quickly November 3rd.

This would be perfect, except that we don't want the arms exposed. Keep trying.

I don't know what group sponsored this event but they sure have Effin's number. I mean, could they have found anything more appropriate than a well charred wienie?

The phone rang. The lady of the house answered, "Yes?"
"Mrs. Ward, please." "Speaking." "Mrs.Ward, this is
Doctor Jones at the Medical Testing Laboratory. When
your Doctor sent your husband's samples to the lab,
the samples from another Mr. Ward were sent as well
and we are now uncertain which one is your husband's.
Frankly, it is either bad or terrible."

"What do you mean?" Mrs. Ward asked.

"Well, one Mr. Ward has tested positive for
Alzheimer's and the other for AIDS. We can't tell
which is your husband's."

"That's terrible! Can we do the test over?" questioned
Mrs. Ward.

"Normally, yes. But Medicare won't pay for these
expensive tests more than once."

"Well, what am I supposed to do now?"

"The people at Medicare recommend that you drop your
husband off in the middle of town. If he finds his way
home, don't sleep with him."

You're just welcome - the "fashion" that's out there continues to amaze me. And the pricing is all over the board.

The Washington Times | 16 Oct 2004 | Staff

West Palm Beach, FL, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- President George W. Bush signed legislation Saturday requiring the State Department to monitor anti-Semitism around the world, the White House said.

The Global Anti-Semitism Awareness Act was sponsored by California Democratic Representative Tom Lantos, a Holocaust survivor.

Under the legislation the State Department would be required to form a special office to monitor anti-Semitism, produce an annual report on anti-Semitism, rate countries annually on the treatment of Jews and make recommendations for action to correct anti-Semitism practices.

The White House announced Bush's action in Florida, where he was campaigning Saturday.
