More Barb and her mom and sis too (and George P. for us ladies, swoon!)
I could deal with a weekend of Christmas Shopping in Chicago,, or just a lazy Saturday sitting somewhere chilling out half way between here and there.
I'm really stressed and tired, but am not sleeping well. Perhaps we just need to find a place to chill out,,,,, Bailey's by the quart.
No picture of the Musketeers is complete without Lady DeWinter--I mean Carol Mosey-on-Down-Braun. She's spinning it on Fox right now--and spinning it--and spinning it.
There is probably a lot of swearing going on right now in the Kerry-Heinz household- in five different languages, of course.
I still am amazed at how awful Kerry looked after "resting up" for two days for this debate. W looked great and plans to continue to campaign hard right up till election day...we will have to see if Kerry can make it without another "break"...
UGH! Mama T's crotch shot. Going to wash my eyes out.....
Ewwwwww, you made me look! Now I have to go wash.
"Look Mrs. Claus, isn't that Paul Begala, one of your elves?"
Don't you touch our Laura you filthy lying pig.
This look is dangerously close to 'The Look', it might be even worse. (after debate)
GWB: Laura's good, she guessed how many times he'd stick that thing out, exactly!
At least he didn't insult the entire audience this go around!
And oh my, Kerry should shuck this politician gig and try out for the Crypt Keeper's younger brother role.
My favorite part of the debate, the women in your lives:
SCHIEFFER: We've come, gentlemen, to our last question. And it occurred to me as I came to this debate tonight that the three of us share something. All three of us are surrounded by very strong women. We're all married to strong women. Each of us have two daughters that make us very proud.
I'd like to ask each of you, what is the most important thing you've learned from these strong women?
BUSH: To listen to them. [completely adorable look on GW's face]
(LAUGHTER)
To stand up straight and not scowl.[Even those cold hearted women are starting to warm up]
(LAUGHTER)
I love the strong women around me. I can't tell you how much I love my wife and our daughters.
I am -- you know it's really interesting. I tell the people on the campaign trail, when I asked Laura to marry me, she said, "Fine, just so long as I never have to give a speech. "I said, "OK, you've got a deal. "Fortunately, she didn't hold me to that deal. And she's out campaigning along with our girls. And she speaks English a lot better than I do. I think people understand what she's saying.
But they see a compassionate, strong, great first lady in Laura Bush. I can't tell you how lucky I am. When I met her in the backyard at Joe and Jan O'Neill's in Midland, Texas, it was the classic backyard barbecue. O'Neill said, "Come on over. I think you'll find somebody who might interest you. "So I said all right. Bopped over there. There was only four of us there. And not only did she interest me, I guess you would say it was love at first sight. [He became ever so slightly emotional as these words left his lips. 65% of women will vote for GWB]
SCHIEFFER: Senator Kerry?
KERRY: Well, I guess the president and you and I are three examples of lucky people who married up.
(LAUGHTER)
And some would say maybe me more so than others. [Bob Schieffer almost lost control. And I don't think everyone was laughing with Kerry. Camera panned to Mama T, didn't look pleased.]
(LAUGHTER)
But I can take it.
(LAUGHTER)
Can I say, if I could just say a word about a woman that you didn't ask about, but my mom passed away a couple years ago, just before I was deciding to run. And she was in the hospital, and I went in to talk to her and tell her what I was thinking of doing.
And she looked at me from her hospital bed and she just looked at me and she said, "Remember: integrity, integrity, integrity. "Those are the three words that she left me with. [What, you must remind your seasoned citizen son about integrity?]
And my daughters and my wife are people who just are filled with that sense of what's right, what's wrong.
They also kick me around. They keep me honest. They don't let me get away with anything. I can sometimes take myself too seriously. They surely don't let me do that.
And I'm blessed, as I think the president is blessed, as I said last time. I've watched him with the first lady, who I admire a great deal, and his daughters. He's a great father. And I think we're both very lucky. [Yawn. T's thrilled she's lumped in there with the girls, do they live with T and hubby? So Laura gets a "love at first sight" and T gets to be Kerry's mental health doctor? LoL!]

The Critics Rave
"Team America: World Police," the new movie by "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, opens Friday, and the In DC Journal blog has compiled a list of comments from folks on the Angry Left site Democratic Underground, some of whom have seen advance screenings (quoting verbatim):
"I can't wait for everyone to get pissed off at US... When its seen around the world"
"Okay, I laughed in some of it but overall this is a Freepers wet dream. They poke fun at liberals BIG TIME!!!Nothing against ANY rightwingers, ONLY LIBERALS!!! Liberals are the butt of the joke & are even the villians in this.Oh, & all the liberals Die a horrific death in this. TOTALLY bias! I mean, c'mon. How can they NOT have Bush puppet? I mean, he so much a charachter that needs to be mocked. This film was very mean spirited IMO. My firned said I didn't get it. That it was an extreme right wing edge to it & that was the joke. Well, I didn't get that when I saw it. TRUST ME, Freepers will call this film their own & Trey Parker & Matt Stone have sold out BIG TIME!"
"I'm sorry but any film that tries to paint liberals as traitors is sick."
"They should spend the rest of their days in the Denise Miller home for washed up right wing shills."
"South Park is nothing but ugliness and cynicism taken to the 9th degree. The fact that it is funny doesn't make it less amoral."
"those guys lost me years ago, when they trashed rain forest preservation & biodiversity. Call me touchy and humorless but I can't get any chuckles out of human caused mass extinction."
"Alec Baldwin is shot by Kim Jong-Il, for being an ineffective terror supporter. Hans Blix is also killed by Kim. Eaten alive by sharks. Michael Moore is portrayed as a fat socialist double-fisting some hot dogs, with ketchup and mustard running down his face. Of course, he dies. Suicide bomber."
"It's a propaganda film - the title wants to make closed minded people think America is so good for being "World Police". Oh geez, we're in a lot of trouble. "
"I can't believe there are still people who don't realize that the Southpark guys are Republican shills."
" Which kid always dies? The poor kid, whose house is full of rats as a comedy device."
Timeout, if you buy the drinks I'll spring for the popcorn and snow caps! :-)
By all accounts, Kerry was a skilled manager, running the office for an old-line district attorney and swiftly transforming a sleepy, nepotistic organization of part-time prosecutors into one of the most high-powered and innovative in the northeast.
"I saw for the first time John's ability to take in huge amounts of information, reach out to experts, set a course and lead," said J. William Codinha,...
Kerry brought the same voracious appetite for information to his presidential campaign. He has three dozen domestic policy councils, two dozen foreign policy groups, an expanding corps of consultants, and many informal advisers he calls -- about 15 per night -- before going to bed.
But rather than "set a course and lead," as Codinha described, Kerry has lurched from course to course, periodically switching drivers and road maps -- and messages -- as he reacts to more and more information and advice. "His strength is that he listens," said a regular recipient of Kerry's late-night phone calls. "The problem is he's listening to too many people."
[snip]Whatever the price in efficiency and discipline, the Democrat's aides insist that a President Kerry would not have been dependent on a few deputies, as was Bush, for information -- which turned out to be faulty -- on Iraq's weapons or the military force needed during and after the war. Nor, they say, would he have been as passive as Bush in response to a briefing memo on Aug. 6, 2001, titled, "Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US." WP
Nah, passive isn't in the Kerry genes, his response would have shaken the world! Kerry must have known through numerous phone calls, summits and listening to too many people that this undercover investigation of Logan Airport was nothing but a FAA prank. He ignored it like a pro!
Former FAA security officials say the Massachusetts senator had the power to prevent at least the Boston hijackings and save the World Trade Center and thousands of lives, yet he failed to take effective action after they gave him a prophetic warning that his state's main airport was vulnerable to multiple hijackings.
"He just did the Pontius Pilate thing and passed the buck" on back through the federal bureaucracy, said Brian Sullivan, a retired FAA special agent from the Boston area who in May 2001 personally warned Kerry that Logan was ripe for a "jihad" suicide operation possibly involving "a coordinated attack." A mere nuisance
And she looked at me from her hospital bed and she just looked at me and she said, "Remember: integrity, integrity, integrity."
Ahhhh, the dying relative ploy. Lurch was channeling Algore.
Very nice wheels - thanks.
And how incredibly disappointed Lurch's motner must be,,, that he hasn't followed her advice about integrity.
Oh, but he has a plan!
He has three dozen domestic policy councils, two dozen foreign policy groups, an expanding corps of consultants, and many informal advisers he calls -- about 15 per night -- before going to bed.
***
No wonder he can't articulate "the plan."
Love it, thanks!
That's the most flattering pic of the sKerry's that I've ever seen.
Thanks.
