Those who are comfortably off here in MO do not feel a need to call attention to themselves with $1000 hairdos, men here don't get manicures, and if you have to impress people with your clothes beyond looking presentable, you're either under 18, or living beyond your means.

Kerry married up to money, W was born into it, at least Charlie made most of his by making the best of his career (although I heard he had a pretty good birthright also.)
