Babysitters. Find some teenage girl obsessed with horses, swap riding lessons for sitting.
Uncle Ramius would be a fine choice as a sitter. Fortunately for him, we don't need one ;~D
Now that's an interesting combination of languages...
Wonder if one could code in Tengwar, and if so what sort of programs it would be most suited to.
What's Tengwar?
Thanks Jen and all! when we really feel like complicating our lives, you'll be the first ones we tell ;~D
You forgot his favorite tale...
"Ramius & the Wild Turkey".
Elvish letters, precious...
LOL!
Ahem. Don't think I didn't notice that you completely ignored my most generous offer!
*laughing*
During naptime he wouldn't be quiet, so he had to stand in the corner. Then he was kicking the file cabinet while he was standing in the corner. So, after being told repeatedly not to do that, the teacher took him to the principal.
Oh, right!
I knew I was gonna feel stoopid for asking. ;-)
I don't think Becky has done anything bad enough to deserve that pony ;~D
~gasp~ ;~D
And you had to go get him? I remember that well. ;~D
Hehe... I wuz laughing last night because in the anime I was watching, the hero was getting sloshed on Wild Turkey! Made me think of Ramius.
Poor Fatty! So unappreciated! *nudge, nudge*
Becky would be pleased as punch just to stand there and ~look~ at those horses. And for an even BIGGER thrill, feed them a carrot or two.
Kids her age are easy to please, thank heavens. I have no idea how I'm gonna handle the teenage years.
I will now perform a Class VI resupply IAW LSOP*
*I'm gonna get another Coke.
Heh...my youngest sister is just reaching that stage. "You just don't UNDERSTAND me!" "YOU don't want me to have ANY fun!" Etc. etc. Usually dissolves into her running to her room, slamming the door and sobbing, and there's no way to explain something to her logically (i.e. her friend has to go home because her mother says so, not because we're being mean...)
All complicated by the fact that she has learning disabilities or in any case developmental problems...so trying to explain anything to her is hard at ANY time since she's very slow to grasp things.
I love her to bits just the same. She's a sweet kid. But sometimes...grrr!
I can relate to the "grrrr".
The good thing is that we all grow up...........eventually. ;-D
More or less... ;-)
Teenage years? Just lock her in her room for eight years and let her out to go to college.
